A sourced opinion
on every deck you receive.
Casian reads the deck against your fund’s thesis, looks up what can be checked publicly and returns a reasoned opinion within minutes, with questions for the first call.

What the
analyst gets.
Decks can be imported one at a time or in batches of 30: Casian detects each company, flags duplicates and saves nothing until you confirm. Without a deck, the analysis starts from the startup’s website.
- An opinion and its reason
- Prioritize, Follow up or Pass. Follow up sets a review date, at 3, 6 or 12 months, and the condition for moving to Prioritize. A criterion that could not be assessed gives Incomplete analysis, and a deal is never set aside for that reason.
- Six criteria
- Team and founder-market fit, market, VC potential, product and differentiation, traction for the stage, thesis fit. Each gets a level and an evidence status: verified, stated or unknown.
- Key figures, with their source
- Dated and ranked by weight. Every citation opens the document at the cited page, and a citation that does not match the text is removed.
- Gaps against public sources
- What the deck claims, set against what registers, the press and competitor websites say. Every contradiction is listed.
- The founders
- Public research on each founder: background and past roles, press, podcasts, publications, GitHub. A fact is kept only if the founder’s identity is confirmed.
- Questions for the first call
- Missing information becomes a question for the call. A one-page summary exports to PDF.
Seven steps,
four of them code.
Three steps use an AI model: preparing what can be checked publicly, running the research, writing the analysis. The other four are code that applies the same rules to every deal.
The code drops facts without a source, compares every citation with the text of the cited page and computes the opinion with a fixed grid. Missing information never counts as a strength. Ten automated checks then review the result.
The seven steps and the grid in MethodYour team decides what comes next.
The opinion is for triage. The analyst checks the findings and sources, then chooses to call the founders, follow up at the review date or pass. Your thesis rules apply one by one, and a binding rule broken, with evidence, gives Pass.
