CASIAN AI

AI that works
in your fund’s context.

Analyze the deal, investigate its market, and challenge founder assumptions. Casian connects its conclusions, sources, and questions to the investment thesis and the team’s work.

Built from
venture capital work.

Casian grew out of our experience in venture capital. We built the tool we wanted for analyzing deals and preparing committee discussions.

That experience shaped the method: reading heterogeneous documents, evaluating a deal against a thesis, separating facts from assumptions, and developing a position for committee.

Screen the opportunity.

Structure the available information, test it against the vehicle’s criteria, and identify the issues that deserve further investigation.

Research the market.

Run targeted web research on markets, competitors, and comparables. Compare the stated positioning with external sources and make estimation assumptions explicit.

Challenge the founders.

Test traction, projections, and differentiation. Prepare specific questions about inconsistencies, weak assumptions, and missing evidence.

Ask the deal a question.

Use chat to investigate a point, return to its sources, and connect the answer to existing team work.

Build the memo.

Bring conclusions and risks into a structured investment memo fed by the analysis. The team edits it and preserves the committee version.

Reassess with new evidence.

In due diligence, new document imports trigger an analysis update. Casian revisits findings with the expanded context; versions preserve the reasoning.

Your thesis.
Every analysis.

You define stage, sector, rules, preferences, and exclusions. Casian assembles the authorized fund, vehicle, and deal context for the task. Your team reviews sources, corrects findings, and develops its own position.

Illustrative context: Rivage Ventures / Sillage Industrie, Seed B2B software, 14 fictional documents, and Atlas’s renewal as an open issue.

A few details.

What is Casian AI built on?

Casian integrates AI models with a VC analysis method, source documents, and fund context. Experience with real investment work shaped the method.

How does it adapt to our fund?

Through the vehicle’s published thesis, rules, preferences, exclusions, and authorized documents. This is not automatic training on your deals.

What if information is missing?

Missing information remains an issue to investigate. AI can make mistakes or omit evidence. The team checks findings and sources before adopting a conclusion.

How do we get started?

We agree on the scope, access, processing terms, timeline, and onboarding. Documents are imported into Casian; automatic collection from external tools is not included.
